Which organisation became a member of the Social Dialogue Council in 2021?
Jarosław Gowin Vice-President of the Council of Ministers, Minister of Development, Labour and Technology, President of the Council for Social Dialogue took part in the ceremony of the appointment by the President of Poland – Andrzej Duda of representatives of the Federation of Polish Entrepreneurs as part of the Council for Social Dialogue, which took place in the Presidential Palace on January 25, 2021.
During the meeting, President Duda stressed that we all know very well how severe the coronavirus pandemic period is for our economy; moreover, not only for ours, but in general, it is safe to say – for the world, for the absolute majority of countries in the world; also – unfortunately – for us. This requires specific actions, specific forms of support for entrepreneurs and a specific look at their situation. Discussions on this issue should also take place within the Social Dialogue Council. Here too, the government side, above all – represented today by the Prime Minister – should hear the voice of employers, and this dialogue should be conducted, which is so much needed.
During the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin pointed out that Poland, together with the whole world, is experiencing a very dramatic period. A pandemic threatens the life and health of millions of Poles. Thousands of Polish companies and millions of jobs are at risk. Therefore, in difficult times, the most appropriate method of finding solutions is dialogue, conversation. The Natural Plane, a forum for such dialogue across divisions, is the Social Dialogue Council, which today is enriched with new members.
The Prime Minister stressed that the newly appointed people represent an environment that is extremely important, whose voice should be heard as much as possible in these difficult times.
In addition, the President of the Republic dismissed from the Council of Social Dialogue representatives of the following employers’ organizations: Jan Stefanowicz – Business Centre Club, Władysław Jeremienka – Association of Polish Crafts and Marek Zychla – Leviathan Confederation.
