The Gdańsk Region of NSZZ “Solidarność”

The Project “Social Dialogue – key to development” is implemented by the Gdańsk Region of NSZZ “Solidarność” (Zarząd Regionu Gdańskiego NSZZ “Solidarność”)

The Gdańsk Region of NSZZ “Solidarność” is one of 33 regional structures of the largest union headquarters in Poland. Gdańsk’s “Solidarity” has ten branches and field offices. Currently, there are 360 ​​company organizations with approximately 38,000 registered in the Regional Board members.

The Association’s statutory objectives include:

• securing employee rights in the field of professional work, remuneration, social and living conditions as well as health and safety at work,
• taking actions in the spirit of social dialogue, aimed at harmonizing the interests of the employer with the interests of employees,
• influencing the shape of economic and social policy,
• taking action to protect the natural environment of man.

NSZZ “Solidarność””, as a representative organization, at the national level is a member of the Social Dialogue Council, while at the regional level, it participates in the Voivodship social dialogue councils. As a trade Union, “Solidarnosc” participates in collective bargaining in many workplaces.

The Gdańsk Region of NSZZ „Solidarność” has many years of experience in implementing both innovative and training projects. The Department of European Programs deals with the acquisition of structural funds and the implementation of related projects in the Gdańsk Region. So far, Gdańsk „Solidarity” has implemented 23 projects in which approximately 10,000 participants have participated.
