What are some ways to be satisfied with your job?

Companies and HR departments are paying more and more attention to wellbeing. Taking care of the level of satisfaction, comfort and mental and physical health of employees in the context of their professional life is becoming an increasingly important issue. Especially after the COVID-19 pandemic, which has worsened the mental condition of employees, has spread problems with work-life balance and burnout, contributing to the wave of „great resignation”. Employers are aware that all of this affects the physical and emotional state of employees, affecting their well-being, and thus the quality of their tasks, commitment and effectiveness at work.

„Wellbeing is not only an element of HR, but also the functioning of the entire organization. And all activities that affect the well-being of employees must start with building an organizational culture based on trust, feedback, constructive criticism and transparency. It is crucial for employees to feel good, motivated, willing and energetic to perform their daily duties – says Katarzyna Turska, HR Director at Pluxee Polska.

„Almost every area related to the work environment and HR depends on the well-being of employees and leaders: recruitment, rotation, atmosphere, relationships. It also translates into the quality of work, results, creativity, innovation, teamwork, and finally into business efficiency and the position of the organization – says HR Director at Pluxee Polska.

Wellbeing should be treated by companies not as a cost, but as an investment that brings measurable benefits. This translates, m.in, into lower absenteeism and sick leave, lower employee turnover, greater efficiency, better financial results and a positive image of the employer.

For the sake of employee well-being, companies implement various benefits and programs preceded by job satisfaction surveys. These include, m.in, psychological care, workshops on coping with stress, programs promoting physical activity and health prevention. There is also no shortage of activities integrating and building a friendly atmosphere in teams and supporting work-life balance, such as flexible working hours. Pluxee encourages companies to establish an original wellbeing and employee experience initiative, which is a day of pleasure at work.

„Pleasure is associated primarily with private life, but it also plays an important role in the professional sphere. It is associated with creativity, good energy, team integration and increases engagement. It can be one of the elements of counteracting professional burnout – points out the HR Director at Pluxee Polska.

„The day of pleasure is supposed to be an opportunity to take care of and appreciate each other, an opportunity to make small joys and show how important it is to create a pleasant, positive atmosphere in the workplace, to make work satisfying, to maintain balance and to reconcile different needs,” adds Arkadiusz Rochala, CEO of Pluxee Polska.
