What was the meeting of the Pomeranian Provincial Council for Social Dialogue in June this year about?

The July session of the presidium of the Pomeranian Provincial Council for Social Dialogue was still online. It adopted four resolutions adopted by correspondence, including on the financial situation of local governments and a resolution supporting the appeal of Pomeranian employers (addressed to the prime minister, Deputy Prime Minister Emilewicz and parliamentarians) regarding the extension of the possibility of exemption from the obligation to pay contributions to the Social Insurance Institution for micro and small entrepreneurs – from 3 months to 6 months, as part of the next anti-crisis shield. Another form of assistance for entrepreneurs would be, according to the Pomeranian WRDS represented by the Polish Alliance of Trade Unions and the Trade Union Forum, and the local government party, its presidium, to facilitate the functioning of companies and individuals employing foreigners. Therefore, in the next resolution of the Pomeranian WRDS we read that „taking into account the guidelines of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) and the Chief Sanitary Inspector (GIS) for agricultural producers employing foreigners for seasonal work (…) consider considering the possibility of extending the application of the guidelines to other Polish industries of the economy and Poles working abroad „. In addition, an appeal to Pomeranians regarding social discipline during the pandemic was accepted. In it, the Council reminds about the still existing threat, emphasizing that the WHO still does not include Poland among the countries that have emerged from the pandemic, and epidemiologists claim that in our country the incidence curve is flat and its peak is not visible. He also refers to the experience of other countries, where the number of patients is growing again after the lifting of the most severe restrictions. „Let us be aware of the society and with our preventive behavior, let us not allow a situation in which the implementation of restrictive security measures will be necessary” – calls the Pomeranian Voivodeship Council for Social Dialogue.
