What has changed in the list of carcinogenic processes?
The revised Regulation of the Minister of Health of 24 January 2020 amending the Regulation on chemical substances, mixtures therein, agents or technological processes with carcinogenic or mutagenic effects in the environment has extended the catalogue of technological processes in which chemicals, mixtures or agents with carcinogenic or mutagenic effects are released m.in.
- work related to exposure to wood dust,
- work related to exposure to crystalline silica – a respirable fraction formed during operation.
Anyemployer with substances, mixtures, agents or technological processes with carcinogenic or mutagenic effects is obliged to submit written information to the competent State Provincial Sanitary Inspector and the District Labour Inspector. The information should be communicated by 15 January for the previous year.
The employer who is responsible for these factors must also carry out the measurements and record them more often.
