The body appointed to supervise and control compliance with labor law, in particular health and safety regulations, as well as provisions regarding the legality of employment is the National Labor Inspectorate. It operates on the basis of the PIP Act of 13 April 2007 [1]. The National Labor Inspectorate reports to the lower house of parliament.

Other supervisory authorities report to individual ministers. These are: the State Mining Authority, the Office of Technical Inspection, the Office for Construction Supervision, the State Sanitary Inspection and others, focused on specific types of activity (e.g. Road Transport Inspection).
